This was a strange week! Lots of new albums out by some bigger artists, but none really grabbed my attention (sorry American Football, not sorry Kacey Musgraves), but it led me to dig deeper into the release calendar and find some gems!

Some amazing instrumental artists are releasing albums today! It's always interesting to see, whether by happenstance or by something else, how similarities unite disparate albums on release day. Today, we have a lot of amazing new music with a DIY, homespun feel. Like you're with these artists, sitting at the end of their bed and watching them pluck away on a guitar or MIDI keyboard.
